GMVHEINZ FISHER

“The food is excellent and very healthy. Especially for the elderly, “GOOD MORNING VIETNAM” is a highly recommended restaurant at the highest level.”
Federal President Heinz Fischer

And whether Monday evening in his “Good Morning Vietnam” (15th, March street 29) not a place for Margit and Heinz Fischer … Of course there was place. And Mr. Nguyen – and his wife Hanh with him – almost bursting with pride, as Fischer then immortalized himself in the guestbook (“Thank you for the good Vietnamese food”). No less proud, however, is now also STANDARD-Gastrofeder Severin Corti. After all, not everyone can claim to be the “local advisor” of the Federal President.

Testimonials

“Good Vietnamese food, but not quite as expected. ”

We were there for dinner and decided to go for 8 courses plus a dessert. Actually, I would not call it an 8-course menu, as some of the courses were served together.”

GMV THE HAUTE CUISINE RESTAURANT

From the typical Viennese “Beisl” to the luxurious gourmet restaurant, Viennese connoisseurs offer the whole range of local and international culinary delights. Cooking artists from all parts of the world have settled in Vienna and present the cuisine of their homeland to top marks. One of the best restaurants is “Good Morning Vietnam”.

The various meat and fish varieties, poultry and game, vegetables and herbs as well as rice and noodles are always of the best quality and are refined.

For us, this tradition is a commitment. We are very intensively involved with the cooking of Vietnam, rummage through old cookbooks, research and search for old cooking recipes – and can thereby develop and modernize traditional dishes to offer our guests always something new.

This is our ultimate goal: to let our guests enjoy this wonderful cuisine.

THEVIETNAMESE KITCHEN

For us, cooking is one of the best in the world “, so or so it is read sehroft in travel reports. This makes me very proud, but it does not surprise me because our country offers cultural diversity, a mixture of original local cultures, unique art treasures and amiable people. And the food is one of the most important elements of life. I like to remember my childhood: the center of the family was my grandmother; We all met at breakfast and no day started without their delicious Phò bò soup.

To my grandmother I owe the love of cooking – the love of food, however, belongs to every Vietnamese. The Vietnamese cuisine is traditionally diverse and rich and has been positively supplemented by the French influence.

The Vietnamese understand food preparation as a high art; In her kitchen reflects her past, religion, philosophy.

The three basic pillars of the kitchen are rice, fresh herbs and fish sauce. In Vietnam Reisoft is further processed, for example to thick rice noodles or to rice paper. Meat and vegetables are wrapped with the rice paper to the typical roles. They are raw as fortune rolls, goicuon, steamed as mandarin rolls, banh cuon, or deep fried as classic spring rolls, chagio or nem. Vietnamese love the rolls, often eat two or three varieties as a starter. Then the herbs – in Vietnam there are hundreds, many of them only here: different basil and mint varieties, the national herb rau ram, a mint-sharp coriander style plucked over almost every meal, or the fine rough ngo gai, a floral coriander style . The third basic pillar, the fish sauce nuoc mam, is always there – for salting and seasoning during cooking, as a marinade, dressing or dip similar to the soya sauce in the other kitchens of Asia.
